I am no longer able to view profiles or approve rank items for the boys troop. This started happening after the newest update that occurred earlier this week. How can I get this fixed? I tried clearing cache and that didn’t work.
@JessicaWilson4 - what is your registered position in my.scouting.org? I suspect that it may be that your position has no permissions for this or that you do not have the correct dropdown in the upper right selected
@JessicaWilson4 as an ASM you have no permissions for the unit - your Key 3 would need to see these links and add what they need you to have.
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. I was given the appropriate permissions when that change originally took place. I only lost access after the newest update this week (3 days ago). Did the update that occurred this week reset all the permissions again?
You only have activities permission (which should let you see profiles but I think that is a hole) - you do not have advancement permissions and never did. I might have been working off your old fake unit advancement chair in Legacy.
As stated before, Key 3 would need to set it up for you as they want you to have it.
I did have advancement for the boys not girls. My key three fixed it earlier this year when the original update took place. I had to watch the video myself and type out all the instructions for them. I will have them fix it again. I think there is a glitch in the system with this new update that just rolled out 3 days ago.
@JessicaWilson4 - the last update had nothing to do with permissions. If the database shows you never had the permissions then they were never there.
Are y’all looking at access for the boys or girls troop. I have never had rank advancement for girls (just activities for girls). When the original update took place my key 3 added permissions in the boys side for rank advancement.
I’m have reached out to key 3 again. Just wanted to report issue because this didn’t happen until the newest update. I was entering advancements this weekend for the boys side.
And just to be clear, there were NO changes to permissions with this week’s Scoutbook Plus updates.
