On Scoutbook Plus, when using Unit Quick Entry, we have to wade through the entire list of Scouts for a certain rank and pick out the Scouts we want to enter advancements for. Can we add a feature to sort the scouts by Den and also select an entire den to help facilitate Unit Quick Entry?
If you select the rank first, it sorts the scouts who are eligible for that rank based on their den membership to the top.
Or are you saying you have multiple dens per den level, and you’d like a little more filtering to the actual den?
Yes, we have multiple dens per den level, so I’d like more filtering to the actual den.
I’ve asked the developers to consider this feature.
It’s not intuitively obvious but you can already do what you are asking for.
On the Roster page, Click on Den in the red bar to sort your roster by den. Select all Scouts in the den by clicking the check box to the left of the den or individual Scouts you want to record advancement for. After the Scouts are selected, click on Unit Quick Entry then Adventures. Only the selected Scouts will be in the list to record the Adventure.
I just tried doing that, but it’s still showing all the Scouts for that level and not just the Scouts I selected.
I had this recommendation buried in another string. I figured I’d comment here to say I support this concept.
Agree. Our pack has 100 scouts, we have multiple Dens per rank and it is very tedious to have to select my 10 scouts from the list of 21 Webelos.
When you choose “sort by den”, doesn’t it split the 21 Webelos up into their 2 dens?
“Sort By Den” does that for the Roster, but when you’re doing “Unit Quick Entry”, it doesn’t split the Scouts by Den.
