I am receiving “User ID is not authorized to access this api” error in attempting to update rank requirements individually and through quick entry. Please assist.
@MashellFuller is that the only time you see it? can you click profiles and they open?
yes, I can see into the scouts profile, can even add the date and notes to the requirement, only when I save do i get that error
When you say Add Date. So you can go to Swimming MB and add a requirement or Final Date? When does error appear? When you approve?
so this is for rank requirement. when I add the date click on approved and hit save
@MashellFuller so if you add date and do NOT approve - what happens?
@DonovanMcNeil same error shows
OK I have it reported - there is a scheduled fix but I am not sure if it covers this
Just sharing for documentation purposes
awesome, thanks so much. when is the deployment? so I know when I should come back in
Watch Scoutbook - Scoutbook Plus Change Log - Scouting Forums for an announcement of a fix.
We believe this was fixed earlier today. Please try again and let us know.
Unfortunately, not fixed for me

looking forward to hearing more next week!
I am also receiving the same message when trying to input rank requirements.
I’ve been receiving the API errors for three days. Can’t sign off scout’s rank requirements either.
@DavidKlingman and @ShuZhang,
Are y’all still seeing the error after forcing a refresh of Scoutbook+ and/or using an incognito/private browsing window? SB+ tends to cache a lot of material, and as a result can still generate errors after an update is pushed without clearing the cached information.
Hi, Charley,
I tried to use the InPrivate/Incognito browsers with Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. Unfortunately, I still experience the API issues. The issues occurred when I tried to sign off more than one scouts’ rank requirements.
Thank you!
Shu
That’s good data. Thanks! Was it only particular scouts, or any time you tried any combination of scouts? If it’s only particular scouts (or you’ve only tried particular scouts), can you please post the Scouting America Member IDs for those scouts (no names please!)? The SUAC volunteers may be able to get additional information on what’s going on that way.
