Who sent an email?

I am not trying to restart the argument over email replies and BCC vs CC.
Is there a way with scoutbook to know if an email is from a scout, parent, or scouter? Like an automated part of the email subject?
For example, if you are new to a unit and do not know who is who, and receive an email from a unit member through scoutbook, but cannot tell the person’s position (and therefore age).
Now, of course, a solution is to copy some adult every time and I’ll do that, but it would be nice to know if it is explicitly necessary.
Thanks.

There is no tag on the email distinguishing scouters from scouts from parents. However, if you’re a scouter in the unit, you can pull up the roster at Scoutbook → My Dashboard → Administration → My Units → Unit Roster

and look for the relevant names. To show the parents, click on the gear icon at the upper right corner of the youth roster and select “Show Parents/Guardians”.

Personally, I recommend that folks (both scouts and scouters) put their roles in their signature at the bottom of the messages, but I’m kinda old-fashioned, and have been accused of writing emails as if they are letters…or occasionally books.

Since Scoutbook only allows leaders, scouts and parents of scouts on the roster to send messages, you could look at the roster if you don’t recognize the sender.
