2 Members, Same Account

I made my account on my.scoutng in October, last week I made my son’s account. I used the same email & username for both. I’m not sure i was supposed to do that. Am I supposed to use a different email or username for my kids? Am I able to delete his, and then sign him up under a different one? My member ID is (removed by Moderator) His is (removed by Moderator)

@AmberPalmer everything seems fine for you both - the Scout does not have a log in and does not really need one unless you want them to have one - this PDF has instructions

@AmberPalmer Did a little more digging, and we did find a duplicate Scoutbook account for your son. They have been merged.

You are using different usernames (logins). You have sign in with Google turned on. He has a username that is the part of your e-mail address in front of the @ symbol.

Thank you. I just realized there’s an app for My Scouting. Trying to login with my Gmail, as I do on my browser. It tells me log in failed, typing password doesn’t work either.

Am i able to change his user name so it is less confusing?

Thank you!

@AmberPalmer The easiest way to do that is to ask your local council to change his username. They might need to submit a help ticket to National to change it.
