Account Merge Request - Parent With Two Profiles

Good morning,

I have a parent of a scout who recently transferred into our Troop from another State/council who has two profiles. I can only see the member ID number of one, the other says I don’t have authorization to view the profile.

Parent initials: EBS
Member ID#: 140204166

Can we get these two profiles (or any others he may have) merged into one?

Thanks,
Jonathan

@JonathanKing1

I found multiple Scoutbook accounts for this parent. I’ll work on merging them.

@JonathanKing1

I found 2 my.scouting.org IDs for this individual, both logged in to this week. I need to merge these into one. Which does he want to use. His e-mail address or the portion of the e-mail address before the @?

Are you in Lone Star Council?

We are in Chattahoochee Council. I believe they moved from Lone Star council when they transferred to us.

Let me ask him what he prefers for login…

@JonathanKing1

I do not see his son (initials MWS) registered in your Council.

His son’s initials are ES. Member ID 140204165

BSA Member ID: 140204165

Previous BSA Member ID: 131174451

He has 2 children, initials ES and MWS. I only noticed MWS the first time I looked.

I heard back from the parent. yes, they moved FROM Lone Star Council. He would prefer to keep the account that has his full email login.

Thanks!

@JonathanKing1

This is done. His 3 MIDs (1 youth, 2 adults) have been added to his my.scouting.org ID (e-mail address). His 3 Scoutbook accounts have been merged.

Thank you sir.

He did mention in an email to me that he does still want to view his other son’s (MS) scoutbook but he has not transferred to out unit, so I have no information on him.

@JonathanKing1

Both of his sons are connected to him in SB.

I’m on similar boat from long time and wondering whom to contact. Would it be possible to link my both Youth’s into one Parent ID so that I can do only one YPT when ever it expires and maintain one profile? Preference is to use 13673795 as Parent ID. Thank you.

@VenuSadu1 that is fixed - your Username remains for log in - not your email log in

I recommend that you contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up your children. When they look up your children, they want to check your children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that your children are connected to you as parent with Only your correct BSA member ID number - you are already connected to D that way but not N

Thank you very much.
