Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Out of curiousity, I ran an Activity Log report from 1/1/2000 to today and unchecked “Include Current Members” thinking I would see records for everyone on the roster in that time period, but I don’t see anything for at least 1 Scout who just aged out a year ago, but I see records for other people who left roster 3+ years ago. Is there a reason why the records aren’t complete?
first question would be if an admin goes to My Dashboard > Reports > runs Scout History Report - under Activities is there any data as far as totals there
Yep, I see that screen. I can look up member id and name of current rostered Scouts, but I don’t have a way of finding that for Scouts no longer on the roster…that I know of.
I get that but it doesn’t explain why some former Scouts appear in the Activity report from Advancements and some don’t. I know that the missing Scouts had hiking miles, etc.
I do know, though, because I have copies of Activity Log reports from the last few years that include them, plus I personally know the Scouts I’m looking for.
Using the advice from Stephen I ran the dropped users report, got the member ID of the Scout I am trying to find and then ran the History report you advised and it returned the Scouts transcript. I’m just curious about their history of hiking and such. If it’s not there, that’s fine, but it’s confusing that the output contains some former Scouts and not others that I know had data, that’s all.
I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
