Activity Log Reports

Hello,

Out of curiousity, I ran an Activity Log report from 1/1/2000 to today and unchecked “Include Current Members” thinking I would see records for everyone on the roster in that time period, but I don’t see anything for at least 1 Scout who just aged out a year ago, but I see records for other people who left roster 3+ years ago. Is there a reason why the records aren’t complete?

Thanks!

Eric

first question would be if an admin goes to My Dashboard > Reports > runs Scout History Report - under Activities is there any data as far as totals there

The only Scouts available there are those currently on the roster, which appear in my Activity Log report.

no an admin goes to MY DASHBOARD > Reports - Not Unit page > Reports

An interface like this will pop up - only SB Admins have access

Yep, I see that screen. I can look up member id and name of current rostered Scouts, but I don’t have a way of finding that for Scouts no longer on the roster…that I know of.

@EricParks enter the MID and last name and it loads

And that output doesn’t give me hiking, camping, etc…

not individual - but it gives a total number to see if data was even entered - it is a starting point

I get that but it doesn’t explain why some former Scouts appear in the Activity report from Advancements and some don’t. I know that the missing Scouts had hiking miles, etc.

You do not know if the data was even entered - that is all I was trying to determine

@EricParks - my.scouting.org can give you a report of members dropped over a time period.

Go to unit roster then reports then record of changes report then click on filter and choose your dates then click submit

Thanks, that’s interesting. I didn’t know that was there.

I do know, though, because I have copies of Activity Log reports from the last few years that include them, plus I personally know the Scouts I’m looking for.

Using the advice from Stephen I ran the dropped users report, got the member ID of the Scout I am trying to find and then ran the History report you advised and it returned the Scouts transcript. I’m just curious about their history of hiking and such. If it’s not there, that’s fine, but it’s confusing that the output contains some former Scouts and not others that I know had data, that’s all.

What is the MID (BSA#) - no names @EricParks

The MID for the Scout is 130353551.

I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
