I feel silly asking the most basic of questions and I can only assume that they have removed this option because I haven’t seen anything about it in my repeated searches. Is there no longer a way to add new scouts to the roster? I logged into scoutbook, clicked “add new scout” and it takes me to internet advancement, where I can’t for the life of me find a way to add a new scout. I have always added them myself in years past because our office is a bit slow to get it done (although improving). Am I outta luck here? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
@KirstenHolthusen-Lud - the best practice is to allow the system to add the scout to avoid duplicate scouts
I’m not sure what you mean by the system. We do not utilize online registration. I have paper applications in hand.
@KirstenHolthusen-Lud - it is the same process as my.scouting.org synchronization adds the adults and scouts. And why not online registration
I don’t understand why you are engaging if you don’t want to answer my actual question.
To prevent duplicate accounts from being created, iti s best to wait for the Scout to be on your official roster at my.scouting.org. 24 hours later the Scout will be on you Scoutbook roster.
Using paper apps slows this process. By using online apps, Scouts will be on the my.scouting.org roster as soon as approved by the unit leaders and in Scoutbook 24 hours later.
And there is no way to add new cubs - SB+ Devs are looking for a way to make a Temporary Scout in the future for times like this.
Thank you. Appreciate the answer.
