Additional account using my email address

I received the message saying another account was using my email address - my BSA member ID is XXXXXXXXXXXX.

Also, my husband somehow has 3 accounts, all connected to our children, but only one of which has our correct address. Can this be resolved? His BSA member ID is XXXXXXXXXXXX.

@AlisonManson I am checking.

@AlisonManson Please ask your husband to log all the way out of any BSA systems.

Done! All logged out.

@AlisonManson Your husband has 3 usernames at my.Scouting.

Does he want to keep the one that he was logged into today? We can retire the other two.

Let’s do it! That one is connected to 2 children, right? With an address in Fairfax Station, VA?

And do any of them have any training or anything important associated with them that we’d lose?

No, the training is associated with BSA member ID numbers, not usernames (logins).

He can keep whichever username he would like, although some of the BSA’s systems do not like e-mail addresses as usernames.

Are all the my.scouting usernames associated with the same BSA member ID?

Yes, I have set them all with the same BSA member ID as primary.

Amazing - thank you.

@AlisonManson So keep the username that he logged in with today? And retire the other two?

Yes, please. That would be perfect.

@AlisonManson Please contact your local council and ask them to look up your child with first initial F. In the “Relationships” tab / section, they should remove your husband as parent under his secondary BSA member ID number, the one ending in -172. This will help to prevent future issues.
