I had to do the same. ![]()
I have an adult on my SB roster (but NOT on the official roster) who hasn’t been a leader, or a registered adult in any pack/troop as far as I can tell, for over 3 years. How do I get him out of that list? He has opted out of receiving emails… I wonder why? ![]()
@ElizabethSaich - put an end date on their position in scoutbook
@ElizabethSaich Adding on to Stephen’s post:
- In Scoutbook (legacy), go to your unit Roster page.
- Find the person’s name and click on it.
- Click on a current position, and add a date ended. (But keep the position approved.)
- Click “Update” to save.
Repeat as needed if the person has multiple roles / positions.
Has there been any development on removing adult leaders who are no longer part of your unit (e.g. transferred to other units)? I still have old adult leaders on my recharter roster that I do not want to approve. (FYI - I’ve ended their membership on Scoutbook Legacy long ago, but they are still on my recharter roster and in position manager. There’s no way I can see to remove them, and registrar at Council doesn’t know how to do that either.)
And I can’t opt them out as I get they already renewed their membership… in the other unit: “Error: This registration cannot be opted out as a renewal order is already created for it - registrationId: ########”
You should be able to mark them as Dropped in Scoutbook Plus or my.scouting.org. They will drop from your roster 60 days after their registration expires.
The filter on the roster page in Scoutbook Plus allows you to exclude anyone who is marked as Dropped.
In that case, this is a contact council question.
Appreciate the quick reply.
The leaders in question do not show up on my Scoutbook Plus roster (where the “dropping” selection is). They are only showing on my my.scouting.org roster, position manager, and recharter list. The Opt-Out isn’t an option if they are current or renewed (with their other unit).
I’ve contacted my Council, and they don’t know a solution.
@AdrianDLG Ask your local council to send in a help ticket to National on your behalf. They should be as specific as possible when explaining what’s happening, and it helps to include member ID numbers and pictures.
What it sounds like is that instead of transferring the registration the registrar/scouter did a multiple registration. The registrar should be able to use the registrar tools to make the membership in the “new” unit primary and end the membership in your unit.
@AdrianDLG The local council might also be able to end their registration in your unit. However, they might need to hear that from your Chartered Org. Rep. (or COR Delegate).
