I’m an Advancement Chair & Key 3, but SB+ is is giving me error messages that I don’t have permission to look at any of our troop’s advancement records. Another Key 3 in my troop imported the summer camp records for merit badges. We have 61 that need approval (which I usually do), but when I try to do so SB+ posts that there are no records entered. This I cannot see the individual pending mbs & can’t approve of the imported mbs. How do I correct this?
@SaraShumaker - if someone imported the summer camp records there is a check box for approval so they are most likely approved already. You say you are a key 3, what is your registered position. You may want to look at the To Purchase tab in the advancements section as they are most likely there.
Stephen, the mbs are all in the “ready to be approved” cache and definitely not in the “to purchase” cache. I have 3 yrs of experience as Advancement chair. This is the first time I have not been able to access individual advancement records in SB+ because I am getting an error message saying my position does not allow me to perform this action. SB+ is also listing the mbs as needing approval but when I open that port it says there’s no records. These are puzzling and new errors in the system that need to be corrected or addressed.
What if you go to an individual Scout MB - is the MB approved or not?
@SaraShumaker you are not a registered leader - all your registrations expired and fell out of a grace period . You will need to reapply. It does LOOK like you have already applied, but the positions are on hold - kind of like a Criminal background check is being waited on (which makes little sense as you were already a leader). This is something only council can resolve and figure out with them sending in a National Membercare ticket. It COULD be cause your SYT expires 6/29/26???
@SaraShumaker it is your expired YST that did it. You need to take the refresher course
