Approving Cub advancement

I’ll try asking again. I am the functional role of Unit Advancement Chair. I’ve had both the CM and the CC verify that I am designated as such.

I’m locked out of any advancement recording. None of the Cubs in the Pack have their rank completion approved in Scoutbook. I cannot upload a file from Packmaster, I cannot enter the data directly. I get the 403 This Trail Is Not Open.

@AllenFails being UAC does not mean you can approve things in SB+ - see below links.

Can you not upload the 3rd party files? does that option not show? You might need Unit Support for that but I need to check.

A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. @AllenFails- one of the unit key 3 should be able to approve advancement and upload the file until they get your permissions set

@DonovanMcNeil No, I cannot upload a file. The icon is grayed out. If I select the Advancement tab, and then choose Approve, I get the list of Cubs with unapproved advancements. If I choose any of the Cubs, the 403 Trail Closed page comes up.

@Stephen_Hornak I have had both the CC and the CM verify that I have the UAC checked. It also shows that I have that role on the roster on Scoutbook.

@AllenFails- let me state it again. They need to go to permission manager and set your permissions. I would also suggest you try an incognito browser session

@AllenFails- based on my post above you most likely DO NOT have permissions set for advancement.

Thank you for your help. My Key 3 has updated my permissions, and I just uploaded the award report for our Blue and Gold banquet. Now, all my Cubs will have their new ranks properly entered.
