Advancement Chair Parent

Hello,

I have a parent taking on the advancement chair position. They are not registered with our pack. Am I able to set them as a Pack Administrator to handle advancement and scoutbook record keeping without being chartered or do I need to charter the parent? Not opposed to chartering, just looking for the quickest way to success.

No. Advancement Chair is a role held by a committee member. The individual serving as advancement chair must be a registered leader in the unit.

Thanks I will get him registered. Why when I try to Edit Den now and advance a Den does it bring me to 'Scoutbook Plus" AKA Internet Advancement?

This is correct. Many Cub Scout functions are now in Scoutbook Plus. See Friday’s Change log

Note that you currently need to advance the den from a PC, not a mobile device.
