Advancement Coordinator

I was recently placed in the Advancement Coordinator role for my son’s pack. However after multiple tries by myself and the Cubmaster I still not do have full view or control of all the scouts in the pack. Any ideas on how I can accomplish this?

Thanks, Christopher Billger

The easiest way is for the Cubmaster to add the pack admin position to your account.

Along with @jacobfetzer’s recommendation, you need to make sure the Cubmaster adds you as the Advancement Chair in the my.scouting.org Organization Security Manager, otherwise you’ll run into other issues down the road…

@ChristopherBillger You need to have the Cubmaster or another Pack Admin approve your position in Scoutbook.

A Pack Admin approves your position by:

  1. Going to the Pack Roster page.
  2. Clicking on your name.
  3. Clicking on your Advancement Chair position / role
  4. Check the box next to “Position Approved”
  5. Update

Also make sure that you are connected to all Scouts in the pack with Edit Advancement or higher (Full Control is recommended.)

After your Advancement Chair role is approved, you will see a green shield with checkmark like this:

Pack Advancement Chair approved

I would suggest you and your cubmaster review the information on this help page:
