Advancement History Report1

When will the Advancement History report be fixed in the Commissioner tools? This is a very unreliable tool can’t we do better?

Scouting America IT doesn’t publish development/bug fix timelines. In addition, although there are opportunities to discuss some of the tools here, the IT team that supports the my.scouting interfaces only takes bug reports from council professional staff.

The best way to get insight into this issue is likely to reach out to your council professionals, explain the issue, and ask them to submit a MemberCare ticket for a fix. Also, see if you can get the ticket # so you can follow-up with the council (who can follow-up with the national contacts) in the future to maintain some sense of urgency behind the issue. Make sure that you provide a clear and concise explanation of what’s wrong or what enhancements are needed (perhaps even ghostwriting it for the council to submit). That way, the development team gets a clear boots-on-the-ground view of what’s not working.

Supporting units via the commissioner staff is something that’s in the direct interests of the council professional staff. So, I can see them getting behind issues like this.
