Is the person ID the same as BSA ID?
I checked our charter and the ID for me was

12263276 is the MID of your leader position yes
@CrystalBishop I have updated your BSA member number to the one in Baltimore Area Council. You should see the change after you log out, then log back in.
Also, you should be logging in with your my.scouting user name – not your e-mail.

Likely not. There’s currently a significant problem with the search system. Some MBCs have had success connecting to the scout from their end using the method described in this post: Unable to connect Scout with MB Counselor - #22 by JenniferOlinger
