Birthdate of Cub Scout’s parent

We used to be able to see the complete birthday of the cub’s parent but now only birthday and month is visible. Is there anyway to see the complete date? We needed this to help parents to reset password as some of the date is wrong.

@Katty it was too much open PII is my guess - to reset password there is always the my.scouting.org BOT at the bottom right of page - that gets users past the obstacles

Problem with the reset password is it never work. Never get the email to reset pswd. But if we put recover username/pswd option, it will send the reset pswd link after we choose the account that matches the info we key in - DOB and email. :joy::joy:

email COULD be wrong? ok Key3 > my.scouting.org > Roster > Roster Export - if you pull this it has a field for Parent Email under each Scout - that might be a start for clues.

Have you tried the Bot instead of the click to reset things?

Where is the BOT? I could only see recover username and another option is reset password. The email is correct for sure.

Tried the BoT. Even the bot said couldn’t find the account

Yes. BSA # 14675157. Try the bot also said no matching records found after putting in last name, 0 (no zip side as address is outside USA, and birthdate.

@Katty I think that user needs to CREATE a user at my.scouting.org with the info they have - they have never had a log in

Yes these group of parents never logged in before. Only needed now because they need to renew their youth. So if they create an account, a new BSA ID would be created right? Do they then have to merge the account? I was thinking they would get to reset password and access to the already available BSA ID

@Katty no if they enter in data that matches - it should find their existing accounts and allow them to make a log in for that account

Ok so for such parents they will need to proceed with create account. Is there a way to find out if a parent have ever logged in to the account yet? I’m expecting all the parents contacting me on how to proceed. Recover password or just create new account? All the parents of the youth have existing BSA ID (as listed in scoutbook plus)
