BSA Admin date after MB BC completion date

Hi,

I am checking all the records for some scouts coming close to Eagle. There are a few MBs from a summer camp that have BCs dated 7/2/22, and all requirements met prior to this date. However, the requirements that have multiple items to complete have the overall requirement completed by BSA Admin on 7/20/22. This is after the BC completion date and we need to have it corrected for the Eagle books.

I cannot correct them because the date BSA admin completed the overall requirement is after the actual completion date. I cannot change this. What do I do to correct SB so it matches the BC?

If you post the Scouting America Member IDs for the scouts in question (no names, please!) and specific badges for each scout for which this is occurring, that will help the SUAC folks investigate what’s going on.

A representative screenshot (with no names) might also help if they all look basically the same.

BSA Admin often means Council Entered it. @KimFelix . I am guessing that all requirements are entered?

Yes, all requirements entered, dated prior to 7/2/22 completion date listed on BC.

So first Unapprove the MB and Save > then clear One Requirement (so it does not auto complete) OR try to change complete date at this point > Either should get you to where it can be fixed. If you have issues we can set up a screenshare

I tried this last night with the scout at the meeting and we couldn’t get it to work.

I will try again this evening. If I still cannot get it to work, I’d love to screen share and see what we can do! Thank you.

Is this effecting Star, Life or Eagle? if not it might also be truly trivial

@KimFelix Try removing some of the individual requirements. If the merit badge is completed and approved overall, then the individual requirements are not necessary.

@KimFelix

The dates of the roll up requirements do not matter. The only thing that matters for Eagle is the final MB completion date which you do not show. The audit dates never matter and are just there for tracking purposes.
