Since the recent IA update, I can no longer edit merit badge completion dates. Initially, I thought it was because the update eliminated my Adv Chair role, but my COR has restored me to a Key 3 Delegate, which should grant me full access. However, I cannot change an incorrect date for an earned MB - neither in IA nor Scoutbook. Is the edit function simply gone? Do I not have editing privileges? Is the edit function staring me in the face and I just don’t see it with all the pretty badge pictures? Scout is preparing his Eagle binder and the IA date for a MB is wrong. Any help is appreciated.

I would not look at IA for dates - look at Scoutbook - IA sometimes shows audit dates not complete dates
Thank you for your quick reply @DonovanMcNeil . Scoutbook is wrong as well. Also tried to edit the date in Scoutbook. No joy. Any ideas? What is the edit process for IA? Or is it only through Scoutbook? And what do I do when I can’t edit in Scoutbook either?
reset your admin maybe - Go to unit Roster > Click your name > click Admin > click Update - that should solve it

What happens when you try to edit a MB completion date in SB?
Was the MB used for a completed/approved rank?
@DonovanMcNeil I tried to reset, although not sure I did correctly. I went through Scoutbook, Unit Roster, my name, found my position, then clicked red Update button. Logged out and back in. Still no joy.
@edavignon When I click on the Scout’s completed MB in Scoutbook, I can see the date but it’s grayed out so I cannot edit.
Currently, with the incorrect date, this badge would count for an Eagle palm. The correct date is 6/6/2017, which would put the badge in the list of his 21 Eagle badges.

So, I see in your screenshot that it’s marked Awarded. I assume you already tried unmarking that, then saving. Then, unmarking the Leader Approved and saving? I’ve had issues, even with my Unit Admin/Key 3 Delegate role otherwise working, if I don’t clear those two first.
@CharleyHamilton Thank you for the suggestions. Donovan was able to help back in November, as my issue was from the “update” in how the badges are now presented. I was later told that dates could be edited in Internet Advancement through the “History” tab, using the filter to select the appropriate time period, and then clicking the “edit pencil”. That has worked for me more recently when a date error was discovered. But good to know about the two-step “unawarding” and “unapproving”, just in case the “edit pencil” in the History tab doesn’t work. Kind regards!
