We have youth that are attending a national event as part of a council contingent. When I enter the event on the calendar, Scoutbook Plus will not allow me to save it. It says “Events with youths require 2 or more leaders over the age of 21.” But the leaders attending with the youth are not registered with our troop so I cannot reference them to proceed. I checked under ‘Type’ on the event to see if there was some way to designate this scenario but there is not. How do I add the youth to this event to track camping, hiking and leverage RSVP functionality?
There are no exceptions in Scoutbook Plus. You need to include 2 unit leaders over the age of 21 on your calendar entry. Activities do not require 2 adults to be recorded so you can still track the youth camping and hiking after the event.
