Calendar Push...is it working?

Cubmaster here. I entered a new event into our calendar on internet advancements, but it is not being pushed to my iPhone or Outlook calendar where I have previously subscribed to the pack’s calendar. Did I do something wrong or is this push/sync not working?

@RichardFriesner - are you subscribed to the current url and there may be a sync time that you are up against.

There could be a couple of different issues at play here.

I believe it’s a pull not a push sync. The frequency of the sync varies, with some (e.g. Google calendar) only pulling as seldom as once a day.

Also, depending on when you subscribed, are you using the latest calendar links? I’ve found a couple of folks in my own unit that were still subscribed to the old (i.e. classic Scoutbook) calendar links rather than the new (SB+) calendar links.

The other possibility is whether it was copied instead of subscribed, which is a mistake I’ve made from time-to-time myself.

Most ICS Subscriptions are only updated once every 24hrs at the most - some less - that is by the End Calendar not the ICS producer

UPDATE: after a few hours it did push through to my outlook calendar and my iphone!!
