@KevinMoriarty - first thing is that an ASM is NOT a key 3. The key 3 are the Committee Chair, Scoutmaster and Charter Org Rep. The key 3 would need to give you activities permissions
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See the updated Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.
@KevinMoriarty You are a ASM and Unit Advancement Chair - neither position gives you permissions for activities - as stated above your unit leaders would need to take action to give them to you
Do you mean that you’re a Key 3 Delegate (functional role assigned by Key 3 in my.scouting), or a Troop Admin (now-defunct functional role assigned in classic Scoutbook)? If the former, you should have access. If the latter, those roles became obsolescent when SB+ adopted the new permissions structure some time back, and are now almost completely obsolete with the final moves of unit level functions into SB+ from classic Scoutbook.
Stephen provided the pointers to the revised permissions structure information needed by your unit Key 3 to assign permissions to scouters in SB+. This has also been displayed for some time as a blue banner at the top of these discussion groups (which is dismissible by the user, so may no longer appear for everyone).
