Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I’ve tried adding this scout to a den via the hamburger menu next to their name, and by going to the den and manually selecting them to be added to the den but every time i get this error.
It seems like the error is saying there isn’t a parent connect but i see a parent connected to them when looking at their profile.
Hmm, what’s odd is that their sibiling had a parent connected and was able to be sorted fine. Also the parent ID that shows up on the two scout profile’s is different. The youth in question has parent with ID: 4243852
sibling member id: 141737764 , parent member id connected to that scout:141737763
I’ll give it another day but something seemed off. Appreciate you looking into it!
That information was pulled from SB+. I do my best to leave legacy scoutbook in the past, until something hasn’t been ported over yet then jump back in!
@_cranium The issue is that the parent has 2 member ID numbers, and his parent “relationships” to his children (at my.Scouting) are split between them.
In order to fix, the local council will need to use their Registrar Tools to look up his children. In the Relationships tab / section, he needs to be listed as parent only under his primary member ID number in this council, which is: 141737763. They need to remove him if listed as parent under any other member ID numbers to prevent issues such as duplicate Scoutbook accounts.
