Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I have had a lot of issues with this leader’s account. She had two accounts, had to retake YPT 3 times, her CBC got stuck, it has been a real mess. I finally have got her application pushed through completely and entered as an Assistant Den Leader.
Now I can’t find her to add her to her respective Den. I am a COR Delegate and it has been more than 24 hours since her application was processed.
In SB+ she does not come up in the roster and can’t be added to a Den. I also searched all adults in the SB+ roster but obviously nothing to show there except blurred out names for everyone else.
@TravisStephens that MID is not a registered leader - I updated the SB User with the correct one and set up an overnight sync - I recommend that They contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up the children. When they look up the children, they want to check children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that children are connected to parent with Only the correct BSA member ID number 141274299
Thanks. I didn’t even catch the number on SB+ was different then the roster. I thought we finally had the two accounts merged and were done with her having multiple numbers.
This is a key step to reduce the chances of this issue recurring. Having the parent role attached to the wrong BSA ID in the membership database can cause new accounts to be created unexpectedly (at least from a user perspective).
I have yet to figure out how BSA IDs get created or attached.
These are the first 2 IDs this leader had associated. Now it sounds like she has another
Previous wrong account 140410866.
Correct account should have been 14897652
SB+ now shows: 140410866 (back to the old parent account)
Roster shows: 141274299
I completely understand that. I was just commenting on Charley’s comment about IDs being created and connected based on parent role. Pointing out how this parent/leader has gone through 3 different IDs.
