I have two scouts that just transferred from a different council. They populated on our offical roster in my.scouting and appeared as “unassigned” to dens in SB+. I assigned both scouts to their appropriate dens and attempted to enter advancements they completed at our last den meeting and I am not able. This is what appears under their names in their SB+ profiles: “Youth is not eligible to earn this advancement and must be registered in the appropriate den level for this rank (Keep in mind a rank will be automatically started when a youth is assigned to a den and cannot be revoked, but eligibility to record progress is dependent on den assignment). Please click here to return to roster and assign to appropriate den if youth should be/not eligible to work on this advancement.” Our DE has looked up both scouts and has confirmed that they are assigned to age approriate dens. Thoughts? Thanks!
@PamelaNelson1 Please post the Scouts’ BSA member ID numbers, and we can take a look.
(No names, please.)
The member type and Den type do line up.
This is the Bear 141175551
This is the AOL 141175462
Thank you!
Go to scoutbook.scouting.org - and put an end to the old membership
141175551 is still in a wolf den in the old pack. In Legacy Scoutbook, go to the Scout’s membership page and add an end date to the old pack membership.
141175462 is still in a Webelos den in the old pack. You need to close this membership as well.
Scoutbook Plus doesn’t work properly when a Scout is in 2 different den levels.
Thank you!! That worked! I appreciate it so much! I wonder why it wouldn’t automatically give them an end date when they left the previous council? Either way, now I know, and I’m making a note of it. Thank you!
Thank you!! That worked! I really appreciate it! I wonder why it wouldn’t automatically give them an end date when they left the previous council? Adding this info to my tool bag of ScoutBook tricks!
