Can't Recharter Due to Adult Expired YPT and Can't Remove the Adult

I had “retired” as scoutmaster but kept my membership active. I was asked to be COR, so we have our Key 3 active, YPT, etc. We did not know that this bug existed in the Position Manager.

Still trying to get the previous COR removed by Council.

I had the same exact issue and also had to wait on Council. I have taken the approach of I just don’t care if the system is correct. It has been such a horrible transition and the lack of response from the only ones that can fix things. Hey it’s not our fault if things are not right. I just keep on doing what we do and figure at some point Council or National will get their act together and fix the problems. If not doesn’t really affect me or the function of our unit. I am sure this will get the but insurance or but advancements whatever. There are always ways to get things submitted and done. I am just over these horrible systems.

For real!! I have the same issue. It is so hard for me to get our Council Executive’s atrentuon too. I can call, email, text…ghosted for weeks. If we dont recharter on time its on them. Why the heck dont we have rights to edit oir own Pack as a key 3??

@LeeGoldsmith - you should be reaching out to your council registrar for unit changes not the exec or district professionals.

Thanks. Usually the Registrar is awesome. I havent even heard from them this time. With a workload like this anticipated, they should slide others over to help them.

There may not be anyone trained to help… and sometimes training others takes longer than just doing it yourself.

Click on the OPT button and that should delete the person from the Committee / leadership person from the roster. Once you clear the people you should be able to proceed. If that doesn’t work you will have to have Council Registrar remove the person.

Have you seen this work this way? They were removed from your roster? NONE of the ~8 adults they I opted out were removed from the roster. The ONLY change was one who didn’t have current YPT didn’t error.

To start with, what unit are you associated with?

If the OPT out did not work you will have to have the Council Registar remove the names. Call the council registrar. Who is your unit commissioner? That person should be helping you.

PS - Are you the COR or a COR Delegate? Adult roster changes can only be done by the Unit COR or the COR delegate.

I did ask them. I am the COR for 3 units and did the lot-out for at least one in each unit. I worked both with the registrar and our council renewal champion. They entered a ticket and were told the names would still appear until their membership expired.

I just wanted to confirm - the names did not appear on the unit renewal screen? Are you sure?

They both still exist on our roster and renewal screens. On your roster, you were able to remove them?

I was told the same thing. I am waiting for the 31st to see if it true.

Might not know until January 1st, after the expiration date.

Ah! Since you said it should delete/clear the person from the roster, it sounded like you meant right then and there. I too hope it happens eventually, but I have been told they will stay on until their grace period expires. So, it may be March 31st that you are waiting for.
