Can't view Youth Profile in Internet Advancement

I need to view one of my scout’s profile to help him fill out his Eagle paperwork, but all I get is the scout’s name and rank with nothing listed under the three tabs (Started, Pending Approval, and Approved). Eventually, the website pops up the word Error in red in a popup box, but there isn’t any other information about what kind of an error. I tried Chrome and Firefox, and both had the same issue.

Steps taken:

  1. Logged into https://scoutbook.scouting.org
  2. Clicked on Roster (left side menu)
  3. Entered a partial name on the search bar
  4. Clicked on the scout’s name from the list to go to Youth Profile
  5. The Scout’s Youth Profile comes up with just the name and rank with no other information.

I went onto my.scouting.org and verified that I’m (still) one of the key 3 for my troop. I didn’t have this problem the last time I was in here a month or so ago.

Thanks for any help!

Internet Advancement is being slow tonight. But if you wait a few minutes, the youth profile should show up.

If you are helping a Scout with his Eagle paperwork, then give this a try:

  1. Click on Roster
  2. Then check the box next to the Scout’s name.
  3. Click on Record Advancement.
  4. Select Rank, then Eagle Scout.
  5. Then you should see an option to “Open Eagle application for [Scout’s name[”
  6. Click on the Scout’s name and you will get an editable pdf file. The Scout would still need to verify the dates, etc., but it is partially filled out.

I tried those steps, but it says “No Data” when I try to select the rank.

@BryanHilterbrand is this resolved? if not I can setup a screenshare to take a look

@DonovanMcNeil It resolved itself sometime in the evening last night, and I was able to do all of the updates and get all the information that I needed. There must have been some snipe in there somewhere.

@JenniferOlinger I was in a hurry this time so I did it the old way, but I’m going to have to try downloading the Eagle Application PDF that you mentioned. Thanks for the tip!
