I have a Scout who is about to do his Eagle Board of Review. Unfortunately, the dates recorded in Scoutbook for his Scout and Tenderfoot ranks were incorrect. I have tried to unapprove both ranks and edit with the correct dates, but Scoutbook isn’t letting me since he has already earned the subsequent ranks. I tried to unapprove all the ranks and re-enter with the correct dates, but it’s also not allowing me to do so. Thank you for any assistance!
@ScottBunn - has the eagle scout rank app been certified by the local council ?
Scout and TF dates should not matter or come into play for Eagle verification
The issue is that the “Date Joined Scouts BSA” is blank and that date is after the incorrect dates that have been approved for Scout and Tenderfoot in SB.
I don’t think so, but waiting for confirmation.
Date joined is not an official date - it is just a place holder for the OA report - any date can be entered for it
An in the Eagle app you can just type over the date
@ScottBunn - the date joined Scouts BSA is entered on the scout profile page. Beyond that the EBoR can not be done unless that ESRA is certified
You should be able to change it in Scoutbook Plus.
In order to correct the dates for Scout and Tenderfoot, you would need to start at Life, go in and unapprove it, then remove the date, and then work your way backwards. You would probably also need to remove at least one requirement from each rank in order to do this, because if all requirements for a rank are marked off, they will roll up and mark the rank as completed overall.
I’ve tried that, but even by unapproving one requirement in Life, there’s enough completed within Life so that Scoutbook won’t let me unapprove Star.
@ScottBunn as I said - those dates should not matter - but If you want I can setup a screenshare to take a look
@ScottBunn - if i am reading your post correctly the scout has earned dates for scout and tenderfoot that are before he joined the troop?
