Hi,
I’m the registered Cubmaster for Pack 3421, Michigan Crossroads Council 780, Huron Trails District, chartered to Emanuel United Church of Christ. My my.Scouting registration shows the position as active, but Scoutbook Plus won’t let me approve advancements.
Symptoms
- Roster → Advancements → To Approve: approving adventures marked complete by a den leader (Personal Fitness ×3, Bobcat (Wolf) ×1) returns “Your position(s) and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action.”
- Scoutbook Plus returns “Invalid request – ‘personGuid’ must be a valid GUID.”
Already verified
- my.Scouting shows Cubmaster for Pack 3421 as active since mid-September 2026 (expires 08/31/2027, trained). Sync lag shouldn’t be the issue.
- Manage Member ID shows only one ID, (removed by Moderator) (Michigan Crossroads Council 780), set as primary.
- Full logout/login through my.Scouting with cookies cleared; same result.
Likely cause
I created my account last year as a parent when registering my son in Pack 3421. I later registered as an adult leader under Member ID (removed by Moderator). I believe this left two person records for me: the parent/guardian record connected to my son, and the adult member record holding my Cubmaster registration. Scoutbook Plus appears to resolve my login to the parent record, which has no member ID or position.
Request
Please merge my parent/guardian record into Member ID (removed by Moderator), keep my parent connection to my son, and confirm the Cubmaster position is visible in Scoutbook Plus afterward. I can send my son’s name and member ID by private message if that helps.
