I’m dealing with numerous issues after my older son aged up into Boy Scouts in a different council, and I took on more leadership roles in Cub Scouts.
In my.Scouting, I can change between my Chief Seattle Council Member ID 13988201 and Mount Baker Council Member ID 14393920. However, only SB+ reflects this change. SB always shows the Chief Seattle Member ID.
My positions don’t align between my.Scouting and SB+.
Mount Baker Council, I am the COR, Treasurer, Den Leader for Bears, and Parent of my Cub Scout.
- I can view only one profile for COR in SB+, I cannot see my Cub Scout Sons profile.
- The SB+ Cub Scout Roster shows me only as the Unit Treasurer and my status is Expired.
Chief Seattle Council, I am an Adult Leader/Committee Member, and Parent of Boy Scout.
- I have three profiles. SB+ lets me view the Profile of both my older Boy Scout in Chief Seattle and my younger Cub Scout in Mount Baker Council, and a Troop Committee Member profile.
- The SB+ Boy Scout Roster shows me as Committe Member with Expiration Date of 12/31/2024 (good I think)
Can someone fix this? I believe we still need SB for some things so I need it to reflect the member ID selected in my.Scouting. I think my Cub Scout Parent role needs to move to Mount Baker Council.
Thanks for any help!
So you are using my.scouting.org > Manage Member ID to switch Primary but it seems not to effect things?
@DanielMichnicki
@DanielMichnicki you have a minute for a screenshare so we can see it?
@DanielMichnicki Initial Issue - when you sign in 14393920 - that SB user is not connected as parent to any scout - simplest solution is to sign in with that MID > go to My Profile > My Connections > at the top of the Page in RED there is Connect to a Scout as Parent - you can add all your children there and then both accounts will be parents for Your Children.
#2 - there is no record of you being a Den Leader in Baker - so your unit would need to add that in Scoutbook - or the real registration system.

Hello Donovan,
When I switch to 14393920 in my.Scouting, then log in to SB, SB incorrectly shows 13988201. I’ve tried a different browser with no change. SB+ does show 14393920.
I am available for a screenshare.
Dan
I also noticed that SB says 13988201 is in Mount Baker Council Cub Scout Pack 536 and Chief Seattle Council.
my.Scouting with 14393920 selected:
SB shows 13988201 (after logging off/on)
@DanielMichnicki that is trivial but I can fix it
I think I get it now. The SB User ID is different than the MID.
When I choose Mount Baker Council MID 14393920 in my.Scouting, SB shows:
SB User ID: 13876874
No kids
When I choose Chief Seattle Council MID 13988201 in my.Scouting, SB shows:
SB User ID: 12119604
BSA Member ID: 13988201
Previous BSA Member ID: 14393920
Both kids
yes and with this one you can add the kids with instructions above
Awesome. I’ve sorted out my kids and have linked them to the correct SB ID
Any idea how to add my COR position in SB?
my.Scouting shows me as COR, Executive Officer, and Unit Treasurer, but SB only shows Unit Treasurer.
I tried adding the positions myself in SB, but it appears they need to be approved.
Dan
@DanielMichnicki
I see your XO and COR positions on your SB account with MID ending in 920. Any Unit Admin can approve them. I also tried syncing them from Akela to Scoutbook. They may self-approve overnight.
Note these are PendingApproval for your renewal. You may be able to approve them yourself by logging in to my.scouting.org, making the 920 ID primary, going to the Pack’s roster then selecting Membership Renewal Orders, finding your renewals and clicking on the Approve link. If you cannot do so, you will need to contact your Council for assistance.

@edavignon That worked, I was able to approve my COR and Executive Officer position in my.Scouting. Nothing has changed in SB yet, maybe it needs to sync.
There is typically an overnight-to-24-hour delay for position sync from my.scouting to Scoutbook/SB+.
