Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Hi, we have 3 accounts in Scoutbook for the same person. I was finally able to get the scout “transferred in” using the Organization Manager. However, the 2 accounts that had been created in Scoutbook are still there. Can someone delete the 2 accounts for that does not have a BSA ID# associated with it & they are also not in a patrol. The real scout account is in a patrol.
Thank you,
YIS,

@DonovanMcNeil - I am still seeing 2 accounts, both pointing to the same profile in scouting.org (or appears to be). One of these accounts is listed under the patrol they are in, the other is listed not associated with a patrol, but when you click on it, it appears to connect to the one, that is in the patrol, and connects to the correct profile. The DOB, appears to be correct.
Same account different issue, as well as his older brother. I am unable to connect his father to the 2 accounts. When searching, it says “No record found that satisfies the search criteria.” When I enter the information manually, it says that a record with that information already exists. So it is not letting me add. Can you help me with that as well?
Thank you,
YIS,

The most reliable workaround is, if the parents have a my.scouting.org account, is for them to log into Scoutbook with their ID and PW, navigate to My Account → My Connections then click the “Connect to Scout as Parent/Guardian” near the top of the page. The parent will need the Scout’s BSA Member ID, last name and date of birth to connect.
If the parent does not have a my.scouting.org ID, they should create one then use the process above.
Alternately, you can ask your Council to add a connection between the Scout and parent in Registrar Tools. About 24 hours later, the Scout & Parent will be connected. The parent will still need a my.scouting.org ID to access Scoutbook.
If the parent is in the unit already by a position or another Scout you can use Connection Manager under Roster, then go to the connection and click the Parent Checkbox
They both show the exact same information, and the membership days is 716 days. It looks like both accounts on Scoutbook are pointing to the same record. the BSA ID# & the Scoutbook ID # are the same for both. It is very strange. I am afraid that if I end 1, it will end both
@SpencerNorcross if the accounts have the same BSA # & Scoutbook User ID it is just multiple memberships in same unit. If either of the numbers are different you will need help
