Multiple Scoutbook Accounts?

Hello,

Short version:

I appear twice under both of my boys’ Scoutbook parent connections. One needs to be deleted.

Long version:
Ran into an issue with multiple membership IDs that was resolved quickly a some time ago, but now it appears that I have an issue with multiple Scoutbook accounts, both of which appear to be linked to the same e-mail address and phone number. I am currently a committee member, merit badge counselor, and dad of two scouts in my troop. I used to be a committee member, den leader, and dad of the same two scouts in a Cub Scout pack in a different council (no longer the case since my boys bridged). Now I appear twice under each of my scouts’ parent connections in Scoutbook. I can’t seem to log in as the first one, though the contact info is correct. The other is linked to what appears to be the correct my.scouting.org account in that the merit badge counselor flag is correct, and I have “full control” of both my boy’s Scoutbook accounts, but the address is 25 years out-of-date. When I access what I believe to be the only and correct my.scouting.org account on my.scouting.org, that address is nowhere to be found. Can we remove and deactivate the extra Scoutbook parent account and somehow update the address of the “correct” one?

Thanks for your help!

@RichardStiles ok the Scoutbook users are cleaned up - you can change your own address under Edit Profile in Scoutbook or my.scouting.org

Excellent. Thank you very much!

Hi Donavan,
I was referred to this website to report a problem with 2 BSA IDs for one Scout. I am “technologically challenged”. I was told to ask to have the 2 IDs merged. The IDs are #140796907 which has been active in Scoutbook since the Scout transferred to our Troop in Feb. It is also the ID that is on the Scoutbook Roster, but has a notation “needs to register”, and is the # on her BSA History Report. The second BSA ID #137298752 showed up in Scoutbook in the last week to 10 days. It has no Scoutbook activity, but this is the # on the my.scouting.org Roster. Can you fix this or tell me what I need to do to fix it. Thanks.
Marion

@MarionShaffer first tell the mother to stop logging in - that is making it much worse - I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
