Delete duplicate account

No luck, only page that works is the main page. Any time I try to access any course I get the internal server error.

@MichaelDeon - I just tried a few training courses and had no issues. I suspect this is an issue with your browser. You could try clearing cookies and cache

I have tried two computers at work and my phone, no luck. I will try it at my house in about a hour and see what happens.

@MichaelDeon Which browser are you using?

Microsoft. If log i. It doesn’t work, my girlfriend does and hers works fine. So somewhere there is an issue with me accessing training. It’s not the browser, the computer, cache issue, not needing to be incognito. It’s a server issue with training and my name. Not a clue what to do from here, other than start a new account and merge my stuff over. Any suggestions on what to do now would be great.
Thanks
Mike

I think I have 2 profiles on Scoutbook (I get a warning about another user with the same email). One is a user ID I created, and the other is my email. Can someone merge or delete one of them? BSA member 14149052.

Secondly, my scout has 2 profiles as well: correct one with current information is number 134762247. Not sure how the other one got created, but it is 140164748 with nothing on it.

Thanks!
James

@MichaelDeon Do you mean you are using the Microsoft Edge browser?

You can contact your local council and ask them to open a support ticket on your behalf. Please be as detailed as possible and include your BSA member number.

Alternatively, you can try creating a new username at my.scouting. I don’t know if that will fix your issue or not.

@JoshuaVoxland Your Scoutbook accounts have been merged.

Your Scout’s Scoutbook accounts have also been merged. However, he has 2 usernames at my.scouting:

nicknamelastname
FirstinitialLastnameX [where X is a number]

Which username do you want to keep for the Scout? We can retire the other one.

Thank you! I only see one account for my scout on Scoutbook now. As far as my.scouting, I suppose we can just keep the nicknamelastname ID
not sure it matters but I don’t think he has ever logged in before anyway.

I don’t know why I still get the warning about another user with my email though on Scoutbook
when I click on it, it does show my correct email on another page, but lists me in the wrong Council.

Also don’t know why this is posting as my scout Joshua either, even though I logged in as me
 lol

James

Yes using Microsoft edge. I logged out after getting The error, she immediately logged in (didn’t even close the page) and hers works fine.
Thanks
Mike

@JoshuaVoxland I have retired the other username. Your son should log in with the username that is nicknamelastname from now on.

You and your son are both using your e-mail address in Scoutbook. That is why you are getting the warning message.

I found 2 BSA member numbers for you, but they are both in Longhorn Council. You might need to ask Circle Ten Council to create a BSA member ID number for you.

I don’t know the answer to your last question, but it might be because you are using the same e-mail address. You should be able to change your own name in the forums.

@MichaelDeon I recommend that you contact your local council and ask them to submit a help ticket to National on your behalf. Please be as specific as you can.

You could also try creating a new username. I do not know if that will resolve the issue or not.

I have two profiles using my same email address Could these be merged?

@CassieWeber

This is fixed.

I recommend you contact your Council and have them move your son with first initial B to your BSA Member ID starting with 140 and remove it from the BSA Member ID starting with 138. They do this via the Relationships tab of Registrar Tools.

Continue using the Google Login button to log in to my.scouting.org and Scoutbook.

I am seeing the “Warning, another user is using the same e-mail address.” message in ‘My Dashboard’ under the ‘My Account’ entry.
I also see two accounts both with my email address showing under my child’s scout entry which has
SB User ID: 12577106
BSA Member ID: 14402840

I think the one that is only a ‘Parent/Guardian’ role can be removed and the one with ‘Adult Leader’ retained. How do I get this corrected?

@stephenrosinbaum that is fixed

Thank you for your help. User name can’t be a email address. That was the issue. Thanks again
