Membership sync runs at 3:00 AM and 3:00 PM Central each day.
Ok. I will check back tomorrow to see if his record has been returned to our unit. Thank you!
@ChuckNiswonger If you check back tomorrow morning, he should be there.
If you end up disapproving his membership, I would recommend re-approving it prior to ending his membership again before transferring to the new troop.
I think we’ll leave it alone to ensure no more issues until the transfer can be completed.
Rafael’s record has been restored. Thank you. I do see the Position Approved checkbox under the Membership section, but I am hesitant to uncheck it. I will leave that up to our Advancement Coordinator. Thank you again for your help!
I have been trying to login into my scouts scoutbook and it seems to have disappeared. His email is the same as the one I used as the parent account. I can only login and see myself, but not my scout. He’s had an account since he was a lion, he’s now a Webelo. I know my ID number but not his. Can someone help recover his account? My ID is 13178498. Thank you.
@LindsayRobinson Scoutbook requires each user (person) to have a unique e-mail.
It looks like you have 2 BSA member numbers, 2 my.scouting usernames, and 2 Scoutbook accounts. I will work on merging them.
Hi Jennifer,
Okay, I’m hoping one of the accounts is my son [name removed by Moderator for privacy]. I think I have my email address for both him and I. I don’t mind keeping [e-mail removed by Moderator for privacy] for his account and using a different one for mine, unless the merge fixes that issue.
Thank you,
Lindsay
@JenniferOlinger Hello Jennifer. You were so helpful with getting [name removed by Moderator for privacy]'s record restored to Troop 287, I wanted to get your opinion on the transfer process. I did use the new Transfer tool in my.scouting.org. The form is different than what is shown in the instructions, but I was able to locate Troop 252 and clicked the Transfer button. I have communicated with Matt McNeil (Scoutmaster, Troop 252) and their Advancement Coordinator, Monike Gause. It does say the process takes 48 hours. I don’t see any changes today, but 48 hours will be tomorrow afternoon. Is there something they have to do on their end to “accept” the transfer? After 48 hours, if nothing has happened, should I initiate the process again? I do not want to cause an issue with his record by being impatient. There’s no way to tell if I did the process correctly when I look at his record. Thank you!
Yes, the receiving unit has to go to application manager in my.scouting to accept the application, just like a new app that’s submitted online.
Thank you Jacob. I have sent those instructions to the Advancement Coordinator in the gaining unit.
Not sure a UAC would see it unless they are also a Key 3 Delegate
Oh, sorry. That would have to be done by a key 3.
Thanks. Their Committee Chair was able to see it and complete the transfer.
@LindsayRobinson you are setup to click the Google Login button - your Scout’s account is attached to yours in Scoutbook.
