Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I have a missing scout. He has disappeared from our Scoutbook roster and from My Connections. The scout is not yet on our My.Scouting roster.
On March 27 I did a Scoutbook transfer of scout FM, MID136503021, to bring his records from his previous pack in IL to my pack in CO. The transfer was successful. I updated his account with his new address and council/district. Ditto for his attached parents.
I understand this process does not officially transfer the scout. We are planning to do a paper application soon, as the scout’s birthday is out of the standard range, which prevents using the online application process.
However, we used to have a 90 day grace period before Scoutbook would auto-end membership of a scout not sync’d to our My.Scouting roster.
Yes as Scout was not on myscouting he was removed with a script that ran - parents are connected and can add membership - just make join date TODAY - not the old date - and turn in the application
We have a new cub scout that is showing on scoutbook, but has not been “synced.” An error appears mentioning certain level permissions and syncing. ID is 11801313. Sorry to invade this thread. Any help appreciated.
Can one of your unit Key 3 (CM, CC, COR) check the official roster at my.scouting.org to see whether or not the scout appears (and if so, with what BSA ID, name and DOB)? I don’t recognize the error message, but it’s not uncommon to see a failure to sync when the scout isn’t actually registered yet (or is registered, but with the wrong BSA ID, name, etc).
@DanielReinfeld the account you referred is wrong account - there is another in your unit - I merged them. he should be good now - if not synced - have admin unapprove membership > Save > then reapprove membership
