Duplicate Account Numbers

My daughter recently registered for scouting and it seems to have generated a second BSA ID and I can no longer see my son. Can the two be merged so I can see both of my kids?

The two ids are: 142416621 and 137335023

@DonnaChapman this is a job for your unit or council
The unit can go to the Scout in SB+ and add the relationship to the correct Member # for you. Or your council can do the same.

My children are in two different councils due to having to find troops that met on the days they were available. I’m also on the committee for one troop and I can no longer see any information for that troop. Whom do you suggest I have fix it if they are separate councils? Any advice is appreciated

OK - @DonnaChapman this is a multiple Member Number issue for the Scouts and for you. You are not seeing the one unit because of the Member# (MID) you have set to primary. Each of your Member #s has one child in relationship on it. This is something you can control or alleviate. Relationships can be added to an MID by another parent in SB+, a unit in SB+, or by council the scout is registered in.

At my.scouting.org > log in > click Manage Member ID - this is where you control what Member #/ID you are logging in as.

You have asked at an interesting time on this. Yesterday a MID Merge tool was opened for individuals to use, to move all MIDs into one. You could choose to merge the MIDs into one and that is suppose to move all registrations, advancements, relationships into one MID that all connected councils can access.

If you choose to do it the old way there should be a top “X” on the merge screen to open the traditional Manage Member ID. There you could change the Member ID to Primary that is correct for what you need your next log in.

NOTES: SUAC is not 100% sure how this effect SB User Accounts especially for youth. Currently we think that requirements for items not complete will be lost on Users that are not the surviving user. So for now we are advising for youth, to output a history report for their current programs if you choose to merge a youths MIDs. (edited)
