Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
We have a leader in our Pack who previously registered her children for Scouts and received a BSA Member ID at that time. Later, when she submitted her adult leader application, a new account was created for her.
As a result, she now has two BSA Member IDs:
141543896 – Registered with the unit.
14762902 – First BSA number
Could these two accounts be merged so that both her parent/child connections and her adult leadership role appear under a single primary ID?
This leader has 2 Scouting America Member IDs (MID) because she changed Councils. MIDs cannot be merged, only managed. Her MIDs are already under management.
She only has one Scoutbook account associated with her registered position.
The issue is her Scouts are connected to her 902 number with their MIDs in both Councils where their MIDs in your Council should be associated with her 896 MID.
There is nothing the SUAC can do about this. You or the mother needs to contact WD Boyce council and have them remove the relationship on MID 14762902 to MIDs 14762903 and 140394026. Coronado Area Council also needs to be contacted to have a relationship added between MID 141543896 and MIDs 141484931 and 141484932. The registrars use the Relationships tab of Registrar Tools to make these changes.
I checked the Scout’s Scoutbook accounts and they are correct.
