Hi there, I have a family that can’t renew their child’s membership and I suspect it’s due to the parent (who is an Asst Den Leader) has two accounts. Could these accounts be merged?
Member ID - 137377849 (Primary) with Leader
Member ID - 137378063
@ElizabethFrancis1 BSA member ID numbers cannot be merged, they can only be managed (Manage Member ID at my.Scouting). Both BSA ID numbers are under Manage Member ID for her at my.Scouting. She can set the other one as primary so that she can renew her child with first initial “E.”
She should contact the local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up “E.” In the Relationships tab / section, she should be removed as parent under her secondary BSA member ID number (137378063). Then she should be added as parent under her primary BSA number (137377849). This will help to prevent future issues, such as the creation of duplicate Scoutbook accounts.
