We have a parent that somehow has two Scoutbook accounts with the same email address.
We need the second account merged with the one where he’s been doing his training (BSA member ID 14176175. (PII removed by admin).

Hello, I am also receiving a warning that there is another user using the same email address. I cannot figure out how to advance my scouts on scoutbook. please help.

@MichaelJohnston1 do not understand what you mean by I cannot advance Scouts? you are a committee member and not a direct Scout leader
You have 2 my.scouting.org IDs and 2 Scoutbook IDs. The reason you have 2 is one has your middle name and the other does not.
I need to consolidate your my.scouting.org IDs. Do you want to maintain the ID that uses Google Login or the one that uses your e-mail address and password?
my cubmaster told me that he signed me up as a den leader last year for my bear scouts but it would not let me add advancement the last time i tried. it doesn’t matter which account stays right? i guess ill keep the google login account. thanks

Your Charter Org Rep can log into my.scouting.org and go to Position Manager on the roster to change your registered position from Committee Member to Den Leader.
I have merged your accounts and placed your 13851936 on your my.scouting.org ID as secondary. Use the Google Login button to log in to both Scoutbook and my.scouting.org.
Your Committee Member position will sync to Scoutbook after 4:00 PM Central today.
I recommend contacting your Council and having them use the relationship tab of registrar tools to move your son from MID 13851936 to MID 4968743 as this is the MID where you are registered.
How do i contact my council?
There is a directory in Scoutbook with contact information for each Council. You are in National Capital Area Council. Cllick on the Home icon then Directory.

I need my accounts merged. My IDs are: 12058481 (Baltimore Area Council), 140394877 (National Capital Area Council), and 137498444 (Coastal Georgia Council)

Also, I recommend that you contact National Capital Area Council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up your child (or children). In the “Relationships” section, they should make sure that you are listed as parent only under BSA 140394877. They should remove you if listed as parent under other numbers. Otherwise, your BSA member numbers might get switched at Recharter.
