This Scout (141161803) has been the subject of other threads and there are some lingering issues. When viewing the Scout in SBP, there are two sets of parents:
I called my council and she tried fixing one thing, but it didn’t work and she’s not sure what to try at this point. I do know that dad and the Scout were previously registered in a different council and that likely is contributing to the mess.
Can this be fixed?
Yeah @DavidParker7 this one is a little different - let us take a look
@DavidParker7 did someone try to Invite the parents in SB+? Trying to figure out the Initiated
It’s possible I did one a while ago, but one just showed up and I definitely didn’t do that.
The correct accounts are already connected - a leader guessing at inviting parents that are already connected is not ideal. We will see what DEVs say when they see it next week
Thanks! I have multiple parents that are connected in SB, but not in SBP. What is the proper procedure for getting them linked in SBP if the invite feature is not to be used in SBP?
The Parents will get the warning to establish the connection - I would start there with making sure they see the warning. On the image above - if it says “…is the Daughter of…” etc then it is a good relationship.
Maybe I’m doing it wrong. I’ve been trying to get them connected in legacy SB first. Is that not the proper place to start?
Legacy Scoutbook Connection is being retired and does nothing going forward for the Relationship needed.
Good to know. I had previously been told on here to do everything in legacy SB for my troop except calendaring and activity tracking. I’ll do the relationships in SBP going forward.
This is a brand new change to the process. It was first announced here:

about two weeks ago, and the connection process for parents/guardians in classic Scoutbook were just announced as going away yesterday.

Ok, good to know! Thank you for that information!
@DavidParker7 ok these parents where good to begin with - on the one with Initiated - you can click parent name and delete the invitation
Done and thank you. This thread has been very helpful!
