Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Pack 3079 has a couple of Cub Scouts with duplicate connections for parents. In each case, I have entered “Duplicate” in the Preferred Name field to differentiate the duplicate profile.
The first case is for a Tiger with BSA Member ID 141245398. His father has Member ID 141478793. His father’s duplicate profile has no Member ID.

The second case is for an AOL Scout with BSA Member ID 137509281. His father has Member ID 137509282. His father’s duplicate profile has Member ID 14888629.

Is it possible to simply delete the duplicate profiles? If not, can they be removed from the Cub Scouts’ connections?
The first Scout is fixed. Please contact your Council and ask them to add the father’s MID to the Scout’s profile using the Relationships tab of Registrar Tools.
The second Scout is a little more complex. The father has 2 my.scouting.org IDs, one using Google Login and the other using his e-mail address. We need to consolidate these to one ID. I assume he wants to keep the Google Login because he used that to log in last week while the other was last used in March 2024, however, I need this confirmed. Please check with the father and let us know his preference. After we get that confirmation, we can fix his accounts.
The second parent has been fixed. He needs to use the Google Login button to log in to all systems.
I recommend you contact your Council and ask them to use the relationships tab of Registrar Tools to move his daughter (MID 140861304) from his MID 14888629 to his primary MID 137509282. This will prevent issues when he tries to renew the membership of his children.
