Error Message for UserID I cannot find

I am trying to approve some Awards in Scoutbook Plus. I am receiving the below error message but I cannot locate this userid to try and correct what is wrong. What could I possibly be missing?

@AmyMusser- is the scout in the proper den in scoutbook plus? The user ID is the scoutbook ID which is usually in the url for the scout or scouter

@AmyMusser yes I would put the Scout in a Den in SB+ - a key 3 can Edit Den and add the Scout

Does a Key 3 Delegate count for this permission? I am a Key 3 Delegate for our Pack.

The new permission restrictions are a little frustrating for Advancements Chairs like myself. I am the one that primarily works in Scoutbook and Scoutbook Plus. A lot the Key 3 people barely know how to log in to Scoutbook much less log in and edit permissions for those that are the primary users.

I have some kids that are not currently in dens because we use TroopTrack for all of that so I will see if I can add the new kids to their respective dens and see if I can locate the userID in question.

@AmyMusser- the user ID is most likely that of the scout you were trying to update. I key 3 delegate would have rights to modify dens and their membership. Scoutbook plus relies on dens for advancement to work. Beyond that there is little that you should be doing in legacy Scoutbook

Ok…I cleared one out by adding them to a den but I have identified a second one. We had an issue with his membership last year so I believe some of the advancements he needs to be “awarded” in the system are from last year. Does that mean I need to move him to a Webelos den in order to get those cleared out then move him back to his AOL den?

@AmyMusser - yes that would be correct

@AmyMusser Doesn’t Trooptrack have an Export to Internet Advancement?

It does and I use the upload function. My problems come in when the Scouts do not get entered in to Scoutbook timely by our Council. I can’t upload their advancements in to Scoutbook without the ID number. We currently have about 53 Scouts on our roster so it gets to be a lot to keep up with and unfortunately Scoutbook has not been kept up with as good as it could be since we do have the alternate system. I also have about 8 or 10 Scouts that still have not been added to Scoutbook so I have not been able to upload advancements for them at all for the year…which is why our TroopTrack sysem is imperative and kept up with much better than Scoutbook. It also appears that stuff is not being uploaded for whatever reason so lots of advancements and ranks seem to be missing. I think I am going to have to put in a lot of work to get everything updated to where it needs to be. For example, I have a Scout that was a Bear last year and earned his rank. I have everything checked off and up to date in TroopTrack but for for some reason in Scoutbook Plus he is missing Bear advancements and his rank is not showing as completed.

@AmyMusser - are those scouts on your my.scouting.org roster ? We have been doing the electronic application which has the scout listed within 24 hours.

The ones we have missing from Scoutbook registered at Roundups so their paper applications have not been entered yet…unfortunately. The right people have been notified…it’s just a waiting game now.

I see a lot of stuff missing from the kids achievements from prior years and I’m guessing it may be a combination of some kids falling off the Roster with the new individual registration and being re-added as well as maybe because I was not clearing out the “awarded” section? It’s like all of the stuff has not really been uploaded to Scoutbook or something.

@AmyMusser

Missing registrations is an issue only your Council can solve. Scoutbook works off of official rosters as only registered Scouts can earn advancement.

For Scouts that are registered but last year’s advancement was not entered, you can either move them back to the previous den and enter the advancement or ask your Council to enter it for you. This is why it is critical to enter all advancement before moving dens to the next level.

Make a huge QR Code for your Beascout - and walk parents through it - I have seen 30 cubs get registered in an hour that way

Ours schools seem to have pretty poor Wifi and Cell Signals inside the buildings so QR Codes and online registration on site has not worked for us unfortunately.
