On the roster, I have a cub scout with only one of his two parents as a connection. Both parents are connections on his brother. I am trying to add the second parent as a connection for this cub scout, and I can find her name via an email search, and both scouts come up as possible connections. When I select the cub scout and check the box for “Parent/Guardian”, I get the error message, " Leader: Please try searching for the user again." Help figuring out how to make sure the parent is a connection to her scout would be appreciated.
You should be able to use the Connections Manager (on the Pack Roster page in Scoutbook) to connect the parent to the Scout.
Then go to the Scout’s Connections page, click on the parent’s name, and update the connection type to parent / guardian.

Alternatively, the parent can connect to the Scout by logging in to Scoutbook and going to:
Administration → My Account → My Connections
