When attempting to add a completion date for a scout for First Class Scoutmaster conference, I am recieving an error stating that a previous rank conference is not marked off, so unable to mark off First class.
The scout has marked completed all ranks up to First Class. I suspect it is due to Second Class being version 2016 and First Class being version 2022.

@JosephDitch this is a known bug - go to last rank and fill in old date for SMC and it should clear
There is already a date there, and I am unable to edit it.
What version of 2nd Class is complete?

That’s the problem. The Scout should have been on the latest version of 2nd Class. Unapprove 2nd class, change the version and reapprove. First class should work.
Scout completed the correct version of Second class actually. He started before the 2022 version.
No, all Scouts were to have been moved to the 2022 version by sometime in 2022, even if started earlier. Whenever a rank changes there are dates given where the Scout must complete the old version or move to the new version. Since he completed 2nd Class in 2024 he should have been on the 2022 version.
Only Merit Badges permit the Scout to work on any version that was previously started.
well, I undid all the second class, moved him to the 2022 version, redid all the items, and I still get the error.

Council can force the completion for you if needed
As long as it will allow the full completion to be set once he does is BOR at our next meeting, it won’t be a huge concern, but I expect it to not like that either. I will keep trying stuff to see if I can make it work, as Tenderfoot is also version 2016.
I had the same problem, but just waited until the BOR was completed and marked the whole rank as completed (under Final Completion Date in the Rank sidebar on the left of the rank requirements). I was then allowed to go back in and add the completion dates of both the BOR and SM conference, including notes. Maybe that could work for you, at least as a temporary fix.
I have gone back as far as correcting Tenderfoot to version 2022, but unable to make changes to the Scout rank due to him being in a different troop when completing that rank. Now I am unable to put in correct Scoutmaster Conference date for the scout for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class.
And he completed Scout version 2016 in 8/2022, so that Should have been permitted. Either way, if this is due to the versions, the verification should work regardless, as there are definitely scenarios where it is feasible they wouldn’t line up.
Just to clarify what I did, maybe wait until he has completed the BOR for First Class and then mark the date of final completion BEFORE adding the other dates. Then it should allow you to go in and add the date for both the Scoutmaster conference and BOR without issue for First Class. At least that worked for me today. I couldn’t change anything on a previous rank.
Leaders still need to select v2016 if a Scout is using a v2016 handbook. Scouts who started with that version had the option to use it all the way through. Check with the Scout before switching them to v2022.
@PEPJr That is wrong - handbooks do not come into play. All scouts should be on current version regardless of handbook.
