Errors in SB+: Unable to find the person for the given GUID

Multiple Adult Leaders and Sea Scouts are getting errors in SB+ “Unable to find the person for the given GUID…” when going to the Advancement page and trying to add requirements.

Cache has been cleared and have waited overnight for the dust to settle with no luck. Side note: there were several recent incoming transfers that may be causing the user id’s to not know who is who?

Thanks in advance!

@BlitzBurgers - did you notice the banner at the top of the forums ?? It could be related

I did notice that, I did an initial look but could not see an action I should take though?

@BlitzBurgers - the key 3 would need to verify the permissions and they should also check the unit and member status in my.scouting.org

@BlitzBurgers did this happen entering advancements for a scout? What is the Scouts MEmber # (no names)

It is happening in the advancement area. Happening on multiple leaders and scout accounts.

Me: 140809572

and 2 others: 140678743 and 140816130

Unsure if others experiencing it.

Any ideas? When I look at Permissions Manager, the Sea Scouts are showing as Term Expired, even though they are good through Feb 2026 and confirmed in my.scouting.org that they do not expire

The Term Expire thing is a known issue

@BlitzBurgers What Scout Member # gave the error above?

Multiple scouts in our ship are getting the same error.

Thanks,
Jay

@BlitzBurgers It might look the same - the long number in it is probably different - I need a clear example - doing Apprentice #3 for Scout 24729495 - I get this pictured error

Thanks Donovan. I am getting it for all, but here is an example, when just in the Able page, I get this pictured error. Scout 140678743

OK thanks - we will see

Awesome, thank you. A few more examples, all happen when accessing that Rank Page, not trying to enter a requirement within:
141534474 - Ordinary (Screen Shot 1)

140816130 - Able (Screen Shot 2)

140678743 - Able (Supplied earlier, shown as Screen Shot 3)

141385626 - Apprentice (Screen Shot 4)

Thanks for keeping with us to try to solve this

@BlitzBurgers- please do not post name or images with names

Noted and deleted. Thank you.

@DonovanMcNeil I think we may have pinpointed where the issue/disconnect is happening. When I look at the youth that are having these issues, they have multiple expiration dates, some in the past, on their roster record. None of them have actually expired, but for some reason, I think scoutbook sees an expiration date in the past in their profile. Do you know how or who can clear these? Thanks in advance

@BlitzBurgers

This would be a talk to Council issue.

Great, thank you @edavignon

Are there options if Council does not know how to fix it either? We have been trying to resolve this for 2 weeks now. Thanks
