Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
The previous post was closed but there was no resolution or response to my follow-up information so I’ll try again.
To summarize, Scouts who’ve aged out or didn’t renew at the end of 2023 appear on meeting invites because the event was created (CSV was uploaded) when they were members. When I edit the event (Internet Advancement for instance) and choose Deselect All Youth and Deselect All Leaders, it shows no invitees but upon saving, those former members are listed.
I’ve added new attendees but the former members still remain.
I’ve Cleaned Old connections but still cannot remove the former members
Since the former Scouts aren’t listed in our Troop, I can’t see if they have connections to other adults in the Troop but they shouldn’t. They are not related to current members.
@JohnDockstader - none of them are listed in your connections ? What I meant was existing current leaders who were leaders when they were on the roster… any connections there ?
@JohnDockstader What I would try is this - Edit Event > Change event type to other (so no one is invited) > Deselct all > Save >. if that clears scouts change it back to whatever original event type was
I halfway remember a story like this where the user kept the event attached to them or something - I have asked the DEVS but Long Weekend
@DonovanMcNeil I changed the Event type to Other and saved it. That did not remove the former members. I went back into edit the Event and picked Deselect all and saved. There were already 0 people invited because all the current members had previously been removed from this event. After saving, the three former members and associated Parents were still listed.
@DonovanMcNeil - Any word from the DEVS? I’m delaying uploading the CSV for our 2025 calendar because I again have Scouts who’ve aged out or dropped and I don’t want to deal with this issue for another year. Thanks.
