What do I need to do to give our advancement chair the authority to enter and approve adventures for ALL Cub Scouts in our Pack? We’d like her to be able to enter adventures on behalf of the den leaders when necessary. This is for Scoutbook Plus.
The best option is to have one of the Unit Key 3 (CM, CC, COR) or a Key 3 Delegate (not the same as a Unit Admin) designate the scouter as the Unit Advancement Chair in the my.scouting Position Manager under “Functional Roles”.
ETA: This has to be re-done each time the unit recharters (or at least it used to be the case), since functional roles didn’t survive the unit renewal process. A Key 3 Delegate (another functional role at my.scouting) can likewise be assigned to any registered scouter in the unit, but keep in mind that this gives them the complete access to unit information that the CM or CC would have, and only differs from the COR in that the COR can approve/change scouter registered positions in the online system. Note that there is also a COR Delegate functional role, to which only the COR can assign someone in the online system.
I am a Key 3 and I have done that. She said she still does not have the power to “quick entry” for the Dens.
Hrm…How long ago was the assignment made? I think it takes some time to propagate through the systems, but I understood it was effectively overnight.

As advancement chair I am also having issues. I supposedly have full access yet I cannot do a quick entry for achievements. I have to click each individual scout and enter their achievements one by one. I think it’s a Scoutbook Plus issue that will hopefully be addressed ASAP.
@ChristaPolan you are not Advancement chair - a unit Key 3 needs to go to my.scouting.org > Roster > Organization Manager > Position Manager > Functional Positions to make you UAC if they wish to
