Help Connecting Parent to a Scout

I have a parent who isn’t connected to their scout.

the Parents BSA # is: 14148807
The scouts BSA # is: 141475943

@Stuart It looks like the parent is also leader in the unit, so one way might be to use the Connections Manager to connect the parent to the Scout.

Then go to the [Scout]'s Connections page in Scoutbook, click on the parent’s name, click on the box for Parent/Guardian", and click Update to save.

In the long run, it might be a good idea for the parent to contact the local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to add her as a parent “relationship” to the Scout.

thanks. I reached out to the local council as that seems to be the ultimate issue. I am never quite sure who does what.

If the parent wants to be able to renew the Scout’s membership at my.Scouting, then the council has to do it.

If the parent wants to be ableto access the Scout’s advancements, etc. as a parent, then a unit Admin can do it using the instructions I posted above.
