Help deleting a "Parent" Contact ASAP

The parent gave his incorrect email address, and the person who received the Scoutbook invite created an account. I need him removed entirely.

Meanwhile, our Scout leadership is a little concerned that someone with this email address has created an account on Scoutbook and has been able to potentially view the birthdate and info about the Scout as well as our entire Pack calendar. If you can advise on this situation, please do.

Scoutbook Help Email has been completely unresponsive!!!

Hi, @NoelleDavenport,

There is no mechanism to delete/disconnect a parent account on the unit side. This can only be done by scoutbook.support@scouting.org. If you have the SSD number that you received as an auto-reply to your message, please post it and the SUAC may be able to push it along, since it’s a time-urgent issue.

If you didn’t already give scoutbook.support the email address that should be listed, you should reply to the email message containing the SSD and provide it as additional information.

Thanks. What is the SSD number? What is SUAC? This is all I received from Scoutbook Support:

Thank you for contacting us. Your email has been forwarded to the Scoutbook support team for assistance and we look forward to serving you.

Our normal business hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central time. Our goal is to be able to answer your question within 48 hours if you contacted us during regular business hours.

Thank you.

In the subject line of the e-mail should be “Scoutbook Support Incident SSD-XXXXX”. The SSD number is a tracking number.

The SSD number is in the subject of one of the automated e-mails you received in reply to your original e-mail. This is the ticket number that was created in the tracking system.

Member Care typically handles these requests within a few hours of receipt during their business hours.

The SUAC is the Scoutbook User Advisory Council. A group of volunteers that help support Scoutbook. We cannot handle the request but we can watch it and make sure it is closed in a reasonable timeframe.

There is no ticket number!!!

Hello,

I am trying to add a New Scout, but whenever I go to choose a den, the screen goes black. This has happened before, and it will be like that for days in a row before functioning again.

Please advise.

Also, I have a den leader who, when she goes to contact her Scouts via Scoutbook message, all the Scouts auto-select except 2, which she has to manually click and add. Can you advise on this as well? Thanks.

This sounds like a parent connection that needs to be reset. To reset the connection:

  1. Go to the Pack Roster or den page.
  2. Click on the Scout’s name.
  3. Click on a parent’s name.
  4. Update.

Repeat as needed to reset other parent connections.

You can test to see if it fixed the issue by going to the den page and clicking on “Send Message”.

Thank you!! This is very helpful.

Thank you!
