Help w/ add parent connection "scout not found"

Hello,

I’m a den leader in my pack and have two boys in the pack—one of whom is in my den. My older son, who is not in my den, is correctly associated with me in Scoutbook as my child. However, I’m unable to associate my younger son, who is in my den, as my child in the system.

When I attempt to use the “Add Parent Connection” feature, I receive the message “Scout not found.” As his den leader, I noticed that my last name is misspelled in his information, though his name is spelled correctly. I’ve verified his member ID but cannot confirm if his birthday is accurate in the system.

Can you assist me in resolving this issue?

Check to see if you are already connected to your other son as the den leader. If you are, simply click on his name and check the Parent/Guardian check box and click Update.

You should also contact your Council and ask them to use the Relationships tab of Registrar Tools to connect you and your son in the person database.
